Beloit jazz band takes top honors

The Beloit Memorial High School jazz band recently performed at the Bob Kames Jazz Festival held at South Milwaukee High School.
BMHS Jazz Band too top honors, scoring 298 out of 300 points awarding them a $1,000 grant and the opportunity to perform with Gordon Goodwin's Big Phat Band. Additionally, jazz band member Kevin LeBaron took home a $500 grant from the competition being named outstanding soloist.
