Illegal in Madison: Throwing away dog poop (and other laws you didn't know about)

In Madison, it's against the law to throw your cat and dog droppings out with the trash. The idea was to keep feces-borne pathogens from coming into contact with garbage collectors, said John Hausbeck, environmental health services supervisor with Public Health Madison and Dane County.
