Need work, anyone? (U.S. Census takes being hired)

Personnel at the U.S. Census Bureau office in Eau Claire confirm: It is hiring census takers for $13.75 per hour and expects to have temporary jobs open for the next several months.

Census takers for 2010 will begin work in spring and normally work within their own community. Duties include locating households, explaining the purpose of the census, conducting a brief interview with residents and recording responses on paper forms.

Census takers must work when people are typically home, which means many work evenings and weekends. They work 20-40 hours a week and get paid weekly.
