REAL quick up to da UP now! New Speed Limit Posted On Highway 41

MADISON, Wis. -- The new speed limit signs went up Monday on an eastern Wisconsin highway following a $120 million upgrade.

Motorists driving Highway 41 between Oconto in Oconto County and Peshtigo in Marinette County can take it up to 65 on the four-lane divided roadway.

Department of Transportation regional director Mike Berg tells The Capital Times they had to complete all pavement markings and median work before the speed could be increased from 55 mph.

U.S. 41 is now a four-lane highway from Milwaukee to the Michigan state line.
