Schools block most of the web on student laptops

Students at Ben Franklin Jr. High in Stevens Point are upset that school district provided laptops block social networking sites like Facebook, MySpace, YouTube, chat rooms, et al.
One student was quoted as saying ""I think that we should at least be able to use stuff like chat rooms. You can't even look up music,"
**Opinion: If the kids are getting freebie computers from the school, they have no room to complain that they cannot be used for anything other than school work.
