Smelly Girl Scout cookies OK to eat

The popular Girl Scout Cookies, Lemon Chalet Cremes, were distributed in 24 states including Wisconsin.
Some people have reported a foul smell coming from their boxes of these confections. The company who manufactures the cookies says that the smell is due to oils in the boxes not breaking down properly.
No sickness from the cookies has been reported.
