The crisis is over. The "dognapped" fiberglass dog is back where he belongs at a street corner in downtown Grafton. But the mystery over who took him may never be solved.
The fiberglass dog is an art piece, one of ten dogs placed around Grafton to eventually be auctioned to benefit the Ozaukee Humane Society.
After being stolen this weekend, the dog was found by police on a secluded bike path north of Grafton. But who took him, and why? Some speculate someone must have gotten drunk and stolen him, considering it happened overnight on Sunday.
