A windy storm forced ice from Green Bay onto the marina breakwater wall at Menominee MI. The storm dumped more than a foot of snow on Marinette WI. and Menominee MI. Wednesday. The city of Menominee closed 1st Street from 6th to 14th Avenue because of drifting snow blown off of Green Bay.

This Sunday's Super Bowl could prove to be a real heartbreaker for some fans of the losing team.
A new study suggests that the emotional stress fans feel after a loss may trigger fatal heart attacks, especially in people who already have heart disease. Stress generates the so-called fight-or-flight response, which causes sharp upticks in heart rate and blood pressure that can strain the heart.
For people with heart disease -- or for those who are at risk due to factors such as obesity, smoking, and diabetes -- such strain can prove harmful, if not fatal.

Today we went up the Van Douser tower on Granite Peak for some shots. Granite Peak is located in Rib Mountain, Wisconsin.
The tower was erected by the Wisconsin Conservation Department in co- operation with Wausau Kiwanis and Rotary Clubs. Dedicated June 7, 1959.
Thanks for checking out. This is one of the highest elevated spots in the entire state.
