West Bend — After one child got sick and threw up from drinking alcohol at a birthday sleepover, the Kewaskum mother hosting the party and providing the drinks at a West Bend hotel told other children - girls and boys ages 11 to 14 - not to tell their parents about the booze, according to police reports released Wednesday. One child later told a police officer that she felt threatened by Sarah A. Shay's statement.
"Sarah did tell us not to say anything to anyone or we would be sad if we did," the child says in a statement to police.
Shay, 36, served bottles of Mike's Hard Lemonade to her 12-year-old daughter, a son and 10 other children as the group rode in a limousine from Kewaskum Middle School to West Bend on Dec. 18, according to the reports. Shay drank from her bottle as other bottles were passed among the children.

SOUTH MILWAUKEE - He caught someone breaking in to his pickup truck on Tuesday afternoon. But instead of calling 911, he decided not to let the guy get away.
When the victim, who wishes to be known only as Dan, jumped on the suspect's getaway vehicle, his wife Roxanne says it was all instinct and adrenaline.
"It was just adrenaline. He wanted to stop the person who had broken into this truck and was trying to take items from him."
Dan held on to the sunroof as the 20-year-old suspect raced down College Avenue trying everything possible to knock Dan off the car.
As the victim was holding on for dear life with his arms around the sunroof - the suspect was biting his arms. Dan ended up in the hospital with five bite marks.
Dan's dramatic ride lasted three miles through crowded intersections, bumpy roads and sharp turns. It finally ended when the suspect lost control and ran from the car. Roxanne caught up with Dan in the hospital.
"When I asked him, 'What were you thinking?' He said he had realized what was going on and how long he had been on the vehicle and that he couldn't hold on much longer," Roxanne explained.
Dan will remain in the hospital overnight, but his wife says he will be OK. The suspect was arrested and charges are pending.

Rod Schrader was in driving by with his family when a fire caught their attention
“I noticed a bright ball of light,” he says. “I just ran up to the bay window then and looked inside to see if anybody was in there."
95- year old Francis Introwitz was inside his Park Avenue home in Chippewa Falls last night, watching TV with his caretaker Shannon Doe. She says they didn't even know the garage was on fire.
“I heard the banging on the front door and I heard there's a fire in the garage, and I was like ‘Oh my God!’” she says.
Schrader says he went inside to help Introwitz, which Doe says she might not have been able to do herself.
"The guy actually lifted Frenchie up and put him in his wheelchair for me," says Doe.
Schrader says the front door had been blocked, but he cleared the way. Another man was waiting to help lower Introwitz down the steps.
"He came to help me out the door because there was no ramp there," says Introwitz.
Introwitz and Doe both made it out safe. Schrader says he doesn't think his actions were in any way heroic.
"I think of myself as a good Samaritan and I did what anyone else would do," says Schrader.
Francis Introwitz's son says he's very grateful for everyone who helped his father to safety.
The Chippewa Falls Fire Chief says Good Samaritans rarely are seen on fire scenes: Most people call, but don’t stop.
The Chippewa Falls Fire Department says a cigarette likely started the fire. The caretaker says she's sorry, because she was smoking behind the garage before the fire started.
