Swap meet for chopper riders coming to State Fair Park in Milwaukee

Posted on April 28, 2011

His business wasn't recession-proof, but Chad Dutmers survived the downturn by running motorcycle swap meets where people sell stuff they no longer want and buy things on the cheap.

Dutmers owns Giant Motorcycle Swap Meets, which has an event Saturday at the Wisconsin Exposition Center at the State Fair Park in West Allis. Several hundred vendors are expected, including local motorcycle shops and individuals selling bikes.

By reaching out to more vendors and keeping booth prices low for individuals, Dutmers weathered a deep recession that battered the motorcycle industry.
