Man fired for wearing Packers tie offered a new job [video]

There's a happy ending to John Stone's story.  The 34-year-old-father of two who got fired for wearing a Green Bay Packers tie has been hired at another dealership.

Enter, Guy Cesario, the General Manager of Chevrolet in Homewood.  "We're always looking for good sales value and John strikes me as someone who has really good family values and he's excited to work," Cesario said.

Illinois Packer backer fired for wearing Green Bay tie

With Chicago reeling from Sunday’s painful playoff loss, Monday morning probably wasn’t the best time for car salesman John Stone to share his love for the Green Bay Packers with co-workers and customers.

But Stone, 34, proudly showed up for work at Webb Chevrolet in south suburban Oak Lawn wearing his green-and-yellow Packers necktie anyway.

Now he’s former car salesman John Stone.

The morning after the Chicago Bears’ hated rivals beat them at Soldier Field to advance to the Super Bowl, Webb’s general manager Jerry Roberts says he fired Stone for refusing to remove the Packers-branded tie.

A Wisc. dad travels 1,000 miles every week in order to keep his job and a pay check. Mike Hanley travels from Kansas City, Mo. to Janesville, Wisc every week, more than 16 hours roundtrip.

Wisconsin to crack down on fake diplomas

Apparently, using fake diplomas and credentials is a big no-no. (Who
knew?). The Wisconsin Senate is planning to make it illegal to create
and use such documents.
