Search continues for Wall-E the missing wallaby

Wall-E, the young wallaby who's been missing since Wednesday afternoon, doesn't have the same homing instincts and environmental awareness as cats and dogs, said Nicole Seehafer, whose family owns the two-foot tall pet described as a friendly pint-sized kangaroo.

Monday the Seehafers increased the reward for finding Wall-E to $350.

The family has received numerous calls on their cellphones 715-305-4247 or 715-305-0161, from people who say they've spotted Wall-E north of Marshfield along Highway 97 between highways T and C. Wall-E has reportedly been seen on both sides of Highway 97.

"I'm so worried he will be hit by a car," she said.

Although people have called to report seeing Wall-E, most aren't calling until hours after the sighting. Seehafer said she wants to be called as soon as someone sees their pet.

"Please, I don't care if it's at midnight, please call me," Seehafer said. "This has been so hard for our family. We have children and this is difficult. He is very gentle, but I'm sure he is so scared right now and can't find his way home."

Nicole Seehafer, of McMillan, has been searching for Wall-E the Wallaby, a 2-foot tall marsupial which resembles a pint-size kangaroo, since he hopped away from the family's home around noon on Wednesday.

The family is offering a $200 cash reward to anyone who locates the lost wallaby, but Seehafer is advising people not to approach Wall-E, in case he's scared and to immediately call the family if he's spotted.

If anyone has information on Wall-E or has seen him, contact Seehafer at 715-305-4247 or 715-305-0161.
